Description

On or about 22 February 2024, this office will issue Request for Quote (RFQ) for Missouri River Project Office Rock, Omaha, NE. The solicitation will close on or about 7 March 2024. This solicitation is restricted to SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY.

No site visit will be conducted for this supply requirement.



Project Description:



Supply and deliver 30,000 tons of quarried stone as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW) for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District. The stone shall consist of quarried stone meeting the quality requirements of these specifications. Neither the breadth nor the thickness of any piece of stone shall be less than one-third of its length. The pieces shall be angular in shape, free from rounded and sub rounded material. Angular stone is defined as having a minimum of three (3) major flat surfaces with sharp angles between the surfaces. Stone shall be reasonably well graded from coarse to fine. Quarry operation shall be controlled to produce a reasonable well graded stone of the required size, and the COR may require changes as necessary to produce the required product. Fines of less than one half inch maximum cross section, accumulated from interledge layers or from blasting or handling operations or breaking shall not exceed five (5) percent by weight.



Period of Performance: The period of performance for the total amount of the supply and deliver of quarried stone is 270 days. The initial 6,000 tons of stone must be delivered no later than 30 April 2024. A minimum of 4,000 tons shall be delivered every month until the full contract amount is delivered.

The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 212311, Dimension Stone Mining and Quarrying, with a size standard for Small Business of 500 Employees.
